    Default Some family history

    I just posted some vintage watches on the flea market page, and in so doing, I came across a photo of my Grandfather's watch (which I have no plan to post for sale). It's kind of cool.
    Its an 18-size full plate 17 jewel "PS Bartlett" made by the American Watch Company in the late 1800s. According to legend, it was my grandfather who carved the stand for it, but I was not around at the time to verify that (he died in 1932 at the age of 87 and was of an age to be in the latter part of the Civil War).

    I also kept the pocket watch of my grandfather. I will take a picture when I find it.

    Here we go:













    It's a silver pocket watch with an emaille dial and I got it from my Grandfather. I don't know the maker but I guess it is swiss manufactured.
