The Montblanc Gandhi is the very first model from of the Great Characters Series.

White lacquer barrel, 925 sterling silver trim, clip with mandarin garnet.

The design of the Limited Edition Mahatma Gandhi has been inspired by the symbol of India’s independence, a symbol also of Gandhi’s actions: the spinning wheel.

The design of the surface of the lacquer recalls the fine structure of cotton. The cap and cone with their complex ornamentation of Ag 925 sterling silver symbolize the thread, the mandarin garnet on the clip represents the orange in the Indian flag and reflects the high symbolic value of the spinning wheel.

Medium (M) 18K rhodium-plated gold nib engraved with portrait of Gandhi.

The fountain pen is piece number 2485 out of the 3000 that have been produced.

The fountain pen is in mint, unused condition.
