Sailor Resin maki-e Chrysanthemum - music nib
The third and last sale for now is a beautiful Sailor maki-e pen, the "Chrysanthemum". On a black resin body leaves and blossoms are painstakingly hand painted with Urushi lacquer and sprinkled with gold leaves and fragments of amber for the heart of the blossoms. The artist has signed his work on the barrel.
The pen is fitted with the Sailor 14k music nib: very smooth, wet and broad. Takes cartridges and converter.
A beautiful, elegant pen, on the lightweight side - too lightweight for me which is why I've put it up for sale. Comes with original box! Has been used only once, pristine condition except for some micro scratches only visible in direct sunlight.
