Just a quick note that the ink reveals will be on Tuesday 06 June. That will be 2 weeks after the last recipient received their ink flight. If anyone needs more time, please let me know.
Many thanks!

This is my first writing example using MI#53 and it felt familiar. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a Diamine ink. It reminded me of their 150th Anniversary ink Blood Orange and I compared it with that ink. However, on this example sheet it doesn't look exactly the same. Maybe just a very close doppleganger.

@Chrissy this look and writes like a Diamine ink. I was thinking more Terracotta or one of those reddish brick inks...
This I did for @Sailor....
Mixing the Brown and the terracotta....

I've very recently been playing with similar inks to try to make a very close copy of Montblanc Leonardo Red Chalk. D. Terracotta is the closest colour despite what I've read elsewhere but it's chroma test is nothing like the chroma test for this reddish ink. Actually the more I look at the comparison I made the more I think this ink looks a bit darker in colour than D. Blood Orange. Almost as dark as D. Dragon Blood but less dark than Oxblood.

@Chrissy I kind of wondered too when I write with this ink if it could be diamine, but there have been a few inks in the past that I thought might be diamine and was wrong, but with my past experiences with diamine, thought much more limited, this does give kind of the same feel.
@Yazeh your calligraphy style writing is always amazing to see, I've always enjoyed style that you use and can only hope that maybe one day I can come close to your talent
Some more writing with 53 this time after its been in my pen for more than 5 minutes, I'm hoping to do my mead five star tests with 52 and 53 later this evening

Thank you. It's all in the nib. It's the flex and fude nibs. The flex nibs forces you to pause and write mindfully. The Jinhao 450 fude nib, is also a very versatile nib. I prefer it much more to stubs and italics. You can create a lot of line variations. Try it, you'll see, your handwriting will change. You can also experience it with simple Nikko G dip pen nibs. You'll be amazed, especially if you'll manage to silence the left side (the analytical, critical side of the brain).....

I was wondering if anyone has been cleaning their pens and how has it been your experience?

I was inspired by @mreeveshp kind words, and Sailor's understated poetry, to write a poem, while calligraphing
Paper is Mnemosyne
I also caught a hint of gold sheen.
Pen is a Kanwrite with an Ultraflex nib

@Yazeh I haven't cleaned out my pen yet just keep refilling until we are done but the syringe and the plastic pipette I have used with #52 took a few more flushes to get clean and it did take slightly more scrubbing to get off my fingers than #51 and #53.
Again absolutely amazing calligraphy, as much as I like super neat spencerian or coppperplate, the style you bring looks more visceral and reminds me a lot of some of the album covers font that I grew up loving the look of.
My Mead Five Star test with #52, this ink is very well behaved, it's a no frills ink that would work well if you need something more on the plain side

I'm now cleaning out the NoNamiFauxFari I had MI #53 in. Seems to clean okay, but it was always reluctant to start in that pen. On a whim, I dipped a non-restored Arnold lever filler in the ink. It wrote easily for half a page at least, and I like it better that way.
