Default "Arc Grip" type has been developed (Research Log 5/25/23)

"Arc" grip type has been developed in PEEK material.

so far, 3 types of grip designs are completed in PEEK material.
    1. normal (taper) type
    2. super grip type
    3. arc type

since an adequate amount of research is completed in grip section,
i will move onto further developing other parts of the pen.

    Could the grip be shorter?

I think that you'll find that a lot of people won't go for the grip with the rings (or threads) cut into it as in your photo above. Lots of people complain about feeling barrel threads when they hold a pen, and I imagine that a texture that deep on a section would be worse. I like some traction on a section, but that would be too much. I've also seen comments about a step down from barrel to section to be a problem.

Take a look at the section of the Ranga 8B. That has a concave section that I find to be very comfortable. I also have a Vazir that I bought for no good reason other than that I like orange and black. The pen is huge, but again, the concave section makes the pen very comfortable to hold.

the super grip reminds me of the tactile turn stuff. it's different from barrel threads, it feels really good under the fingers. I'd give it a try.

it's not thread actually, but 54 individual grooves.
the groove depth is only 0.3mm so less than 1/3 of typical thread height.

in the picture, it shows triangle shape, but that's a prototype. real product has flat surface grooves insead of pointy triangle.

I suspect the grooves will likely mean that's a format people will typically buy if they have a chance to try it, eg at a pen show, but they will want to make sure the feel isn't a deal breaker for them.
