Default Changing a nib on a Pelikan M200. Easy or not?

    Hello,

When I purchased my new M200 Pelikan fitted with an extra-fine nib this week, I also noticed I have the opportunity to purchase, fine, medium and a 'b' nibs, which I presume means, broad?
Anyway, the question is - I will be buying these extra nibs, just to try. To see what they write like for my hand, but I am unsure what it entails.
Do I, prior to changing, flush the pen through thoroughly, unscrew the nib and then, just screw the new nib into place, or is there something else I need to do.

    Thank you for any advice.

changing my 200 nib is one of the easiest nib swaps I've done

    yes, just unscrew and re-screw

why change the inks? Don't change the ink if you are testing the nibs against each other. Use the same ink, and change only the nibs. Then you'll see only the difference that the nib makes. Right?

    Hello,

Thank you for the swift reply. Much appreciated.
As for the ink change, I thought it was required, but now I know different, I'm well chuffed. Thank you.

Just one more tip. Pelican nibs are the cheapest and very nice light pen for light hand. When you get nibs don't get" Fine " As you have already "EF " and there's no much different in line width between the two pen sizes.
I bought my M200 with Ef Which is my favourite pen and later I added a Fine nib . unfortunately it had the same lines. So my nib is in a box somewhere and give away for some day. I thing it is a good idea to try M and Broad or BB if it is available.
I have also a M200 older vintage version and it is an interesting pen with a 14k vintage nib.Unlike the steel nibs of m200 those nibs are extra special and quite interesting pens. hope this will help you.
Changing the nibs unscrew the nib wash and clean it and dry it and keep away and replace with the new nib by screwing it newly to the pen. It is rocket science of course!!!
