Greetings from Boston!
OK, I admit it, I'm a fountain pen geek! A long time lurker on various fountain pen forums, I've decided to admit I have a fountain pen addiction! Dan and Eric, you are doing a terrific job with this website--I particularly enjoy the many podcasts you are doing. I hope you can keep it up, as I know it is time consuming and a lot of work--but we fountain pen geeks love it! I wish I were at the L.A. Pen Show right now!

Re: Greetings from Boston!
A microphone with a frequency response range of around 80 Hz to 15 kHz would make a good choice for a vocal mic. However for miking snares and toms, you would look for a range that starts lower, at around 50 Hz, and for a bass drum mic, you will want a low end of 40 Hz or even lower, down to 30 Hz.
