    Default Herbin Rouge Hematite

Last week a pen pal in Germany sent a letter written with Rouge Hematite. I liked it, and bought a bottle.

It's brighter than Noodler's Nikita, which looked a bit dull compared with Diamine Poppy Red, and it's brighter that D Poppy Red.

Not seeing much gold shimmer or green sheen - yet.

I have the first edition that doesn't contain shimmer particles but instead has slightly thicker stuff in the bottom of the bottle. When I used it in my Sheaffer Targa it took me so much to clean it out I've never used it since. The Sheaffer has never flowed well since.

James Bond might not, but Goldfinger did. There's already a lot of glitter stuff inside, you just have to shake it up.

I'll shake it even more before the next time I refill the pen

Over time, the pigments can also settle in the fountain pen, they are too big to remain in suspension.
