Can anyone share the name of a source of Diamine Leap of Faith ink in the USA? It's annoying that Phidon requires $30 to shift it across the Ontario/Pennsylvania border. In the alternative, is there a very similar ink stateside?

I doubt if there's any other source. If it makes you feel better, Goulet's doesn't ship to my province.
If it's in Canadian dollars then that's about 20$ US.
If it helps you can ship it to me and I can ship it to you: Shipping will be 12.95$ to me. and then depending the package dimensions either 10 or 16$ Canadian.
Otherwise see if this link helps:

Mountain of ink suggests: A Leap of Faith is closest to Colorverse Quasar. Skull and Roses and Majestic Blue are a bit lighter.

Are you seeking a 30ml or an 80ml bottle? Actually it costs an arm and a leg to post from here even if it's 30ml.
Another option might be Diamine Midnight or if you can get the 50ml bottles on 4 small feet look at Diamine Midnight Hour. I think that's a Diamine Inkvent ink similar to Leap of Faith

Thank you Yazeh and Chrissy. I'm not an ink connoisseur, so your suggestions are much appreciated. There are so many ink brands and colors out there that it's overwhelming. With your advice, I discovered Leap of Faith is not the color I want after all. What I do want is a very very dark blue, and a bit of sheen is a plus. I checked out Colorverse's Quasar but the swatch on mountainofink is too light, and the swatch on inkswatch is too purple. On the other hand, that led me to Colorverse's Extreme Deep Field.
In the end, I opted for the deep blue color of Diamine's Midnight Hour which is sort of like an even darker version of Sargasso Sea (my favorite blue). I like giving Bert Oser (Bertram's Inkwell) the business since he runs the Baltimore and Miami pen shows, but he's out of stock, so Goulet got my dollars for a 50ml bottle of Midnight Hour.
Yazeh, thank you for the offer to assist in getting a bottle of Leap of Faith to me from Phidon. If I go to the Toronto pen show, I'll look at it in person.

Congrats on the search and find operation. Now I just have to add...

I hope Midnight blue is your ink. We ink nerds often order a bunch of samples to decide what we really like. I haven't still found that elusive waterproof red![]()

A pen friend and fellow Geek replied (written six days after I wrote to him) that my Diamine Midnight Hour "still smears."![]()

I’ve had the “still smears” problem with a few Diamine inks, mainly a problem with the highly saturated colors (sapphire, Sargasso Sea, etc…) and certain paper (Rhodia being a primary culprit).
As to the “Leap of Faith” color, I find it very appealing and it reminds me of Aurora blue/black.

I think if you use thick absorbent paper, the smearing problem would be solved![]()
