Superb pictures, everyone. Jeph, your work area may be messy but it is quite inspiring! How about a pic of all your tools?

I could try that, but I am not even sure where all of my tools are. Or, more accurately, I am not even sure what tools I own. For that matter, I don't even know what pens I own. Even worse, I don't even know all of the pens that I own that I have repaired. I just tried to remember, and not counting the pens waiting for corks (and no, I have no idea how many beyond more than 10) I am not even sure what pens I am currently working on. In fact I just had to look to find out what pens I am currently carrying. Clearly I need an organizational standdown until I can get things back under control. I wanted to say that I will not work on any more pens until I can take a picture of a clean work area ready to receive pens but I know that it will never happen. Sometimes you just need to embrace the chaos.

That is Shya I think (with three black cats it's hard to tell sometimes, but that is her favorite place) and mom made the scratching post, er, chair covers. Matching pillows on the chair under the window.

I have a wonderful old desk that belonged to my grandfather that has been refinished and has a piece 1/4" smoked glass on the top to protect it. For several years it has been a "junk gatherer". I need to get rid of some of the junk on it so I can actually use it. (grandpa died in 1959 and used it in his plumbing business for years - yes the center drawer has ink stains - )

Maybe the problem is that he needs more Rhodia?

I did snap a shot of how I left my work area as I left for Christmas vacation. I took the picture to shame myself, but I can't do that unless I share. I did not leave anythign soaking but the blue striped Markant is filled with water, as is the barrel of the the red marbled no-name pen standing up in the tub.

    Best post ever!
Even just looking at this picture of work in progress makes me want to take a vacation. I see passion in your mess though.

Pingo lodged an application to move in but got rejected. Heh. Maybe you have better luck, Kai.

    I better post something too.

Tony, I reject your picture as far too clean, far too peaceful to the point of being serene, and clearly too organized. I like the plant (and the pens) though.

VERY neat work area, Tony. Lovely colors! Is that a Lamy joy with a 2000? And is the stack Moleskine pocketbooks?

    The same as this..

But those cakes are a lie mate. And thank you for the compliment dear friend, but alas, your guesses were close but no cigar. The pens: Pelikan MC110 Calligraphy and LAMY Studio grey. And the notebooks: Leuchtturm, RHODIA, Picadilly, Ciak, Moleskine (Starwars), Muji, Design.Y 288, and my prayer books. Like Jeph said... and especially when he was around... it's like this:

    or this:
