Oh Tony, the fabrics you have would make a geisha jealous. Even your repair/maintenance work happens in a spotless environment.

Just look at them -- your little hammer is shinier and lovelier than my cutlery. A visit to your house probably feels like stepping into Melbourne Sofitel's lobby.

That's strange, the first pic was attached and uploaded here, same with the second one.

Here is a picture of my desk at work (I don't really have a desk to speak of at home, unfortunately). But in case anyone was ever curious about what a Police Detective desks looks like...this is the boring truth!

See that is better. There is enough clutter to be functional, a pile of pens and pre related doo-dads scattered around. I approve.

I don't find it boring at all. To me it's nice and functional.

Ah daresay you're right. Ah was especially impressed with the ladder! Might ah inquire as to the subject matter in those books? Several subjects ah should think. However as to the subject of our FPGeeks thread here, it appears that the library has overwhelmed the desk Surely sir that cannot be a desk! And yet you tell us you write your missives from there...very puzzling.

Rest assured Tracy Lee has an impressive output of letter writing from that desk.

But beware she sprinkles Visconti & Delta dust in those letter all so prepare your pen purchasing budget of a tsunami of Italian pens in the near future.

Tracy Lee, I have to thank you in a post. Your beautiful office space inspired me to take a little white metal table that was languishing in my garage, and put it in the library/office. Yes, it's much smaller than yours, but it fits my space and allows me to walk around it. Because I have a complex about that.

I got a little bit of my office function back with that table.

If I had a NY resolution, it might be, 'leave well enough alone.' Once, I had a huge pine rolltop desk in my workspace, but for whatever reason, I decided it had to go elsewhere. I keep trying to emulate its storage capacity with baskets and bult-ons, but I shoulda just kept it where it was.
My other pen is a Montblanc.

And my other blog is a tumblr!

The dining table has long since become my desk, and it is cluttered when not writing to prevent mischievous behavior of the cats when I am not around. I was also in the midst of reconfiguring some things in there when I took the picture. Trust me, I sit right there and write my missives. And I will neither confirm nor deny whether there is a vial or two of Italian pen dust.

Tracy Lee I didn't even see your by-line by this post! Sorry for not recognizing you. I just saw the photos of the room and immediately sat down and wrote a letter. Mainly in jest with my Maryland accent.

Haha, no worries at all. The books, by the way, are a wide variety. Mostly fiction, but the back right corner contains all space related nonfiction and cookbooks. Back left is art and archaeology and cultural resource related nonfiction. One whole set of shelves is all of Stephen King's books. There is a travel section, a miscellaneous section, but that gives you a good idea of what is there.
