Let me ask you this. Why do you feel you have to 'settle' things here in this thread? It's got NOTHING to do with the history you're trying to bring to some sort of victorious closure, and you're biggest achievement is to only create more enemies. What kind of mature adult lives that way? You mention, or more aptly, CROW about your extensive experience with these types of online conflicts and what you're 'capable of bringing'. I'm willing to bet any sum of money you didn't gain all that "experience" thru all those years by being a reasonably nice, agreeable individual. Prove me wrong.

Let me flip the coin.
Since I have been here as a member, I have gone out my way to be as good/respectful as everybody I have come into contact with. I have played under the rules of the forum. I have been courteous and shown respect to those who have done likewise towards me. I have, as mentioned - cursed in the forum as admitted. That as you are aware, is apparantly acceptable by all accounts, but I've not even said bugger in the open forum. I would like to think I made, as much as is possible on a faceless forum, people that could be classed as 'friends', or if at best, friendly acquaintences. I've played the game.
Yesterday and the day before, you know as well as I do, that when the smelly hit the fan, I apologised to Jon. I didn't have to, but thats what happens when you can accept you are wrong. Jon was gracious enough to accept, but then, the bushpig stuck her oar in, blatantly chastised me, when ignoring what somebody else had written, and then had the audacity to try and pass the word off as 'acceptable' for him and anybody else who chose/chooses to use the word, but not when I use it. You wish for me to roll my neck in, I accept that, but don't accept me to stand here and be ridiculed by a person who wants to play by two sets of rules such as the bushpig did/does. That wont ever happen. To cap that off, she lied point blank. She knows it, and I know it, but the pendulum swings against me because I'm the new person to the site, and she is 'old school'. Yet many here, and also others elsewhere on fountain pen fraternitys, are fully aware of what she is like. What games her and her cohorts play. I'm not bigging it up, but she/they chose the wrong rockape to mess with. What they, the bush pig, and pinky and perky do to people is OK by your rule book??, but retaliating, be it form you don't like, is not right. Now I don't understand that. As for your comment - reasonably nice guy - well, that isn't for me to say, that is for others to judge, but as I have said - before the shit hit the fan these last couple of days - I think I showedI am, or at least I would like to think I did.
Online conflicts - yes, I admit I have had many. Many I started, and many I didn't, but I can tell you this - I only ever went after the arsehats and never after decent people. Anyway - I've answered you, so you can answer my question if you don't mind. Do you know of what I write regarding the 'bullying' and 'victimization' I mention regarding the bushpig and Pinky and Perky? or the other shit they caused with other people? If not - ask around. My main question to you is this though. You were/are quick enough to get me from rocking the boat, yet you haven't uttered a word to Pinky and the bushpig - asking them to stop. How the hell she thinks I'm a kiwi, and then pinky saying I was somebody else? Not one word from you, yet plenty to me..... and all for continuing to use a word that is acceptable. Anyway, I'll self moderate my post, but this will be the last time I will. If it starts again....

Be aware that well-practiced manipulation techniques were just applied...again. I suggest not being taken in or feeling sorry.

This very same pattern has been exhibited over the years that have sought to shift responsibility, blame and even guilt for misbehavior onto other members as part of some kind of emotional neediness. Then there are these publicly declared departures to elicit sympathy - only to drift back into the forum again for a honeymoon period until the misbehavior begins anew. A search on member ID and the word "goodbye" will show just a sliver of the history and the grudges.

Like a close call with a con artist, learn the lesson what to watch out for and ignore, then move on to enjoy this community with the majority of its members and our pens!

I was extremely careful with the exact words I posted and edited it many times as you can see by the extraneous "your" that I left in by mistake. I did that because I know that David Jackson always posts PM's on the forum and I knew for certain he would do exactly that with any PM I sent since he did this when I sent him a PM as Empty_of_Clouds. And lo and behold here it is as predicted.

I did not say that particular word was acceptable from Jon. Carpio never used that particular word once. In the post I referred to all of his many uses of the word ended in in' or ing Anyone can go back to my post #30 and see exactly what I said. I did not lie.

I can safely state that I have never been to New Zealand without telling a lie. When Carpio asked me for a list of my pens and inks I had for sale I said I didn't have a specific list and that was not a lie. When he asked for a Taccia ink I said I didn't have it and I did not lie . He asked me if I could recommend a similar Diamine ink and I did. That was not a lie. I also said that I could not sell him any Diamine inks for less than he could buy them on Cult Pens or The Writing Desk purely on the cost to post them. Not a lie.

He just wants to carry on doing what he always does. This is where you need to add his name to your Ignore list.

Edited just to to correct tfrom his post #62 that he is wrong about profane language being permitted in The Lounge. Nothing on the forum list gives a warning to say that. The Lounge is an open forum that appears on the first page of New Posts. He may be getting confused with the Politics forum that isn't an open forum where there IS a warning.
He is also wrong about never having even said as much as "bugger" in an open forum. He has said this in his thread about mixing Walnut Crystals here in his post #3 he says it twice.
