First shot that I’ve scouted and planned in advance.
Found the spot 12 days ago. But had to wait for the leaves to turn.
Two days ago, driving by i saw the leaves were good and the light was good but the sky sucked (cloudless and blue) so i noted the time for good light
Yesterday the clouds were decent so i arranged to be in the right spot at the correct time.
I think it turned out mostly the way i was hoping.

@ INeedAFinancialAdvisor: Wow! Wow wow wow. I love both of them, but I (totally subjective) prefer the "Alternate crop #1" by far, probably because the whole scene is so gorgeous that I am delighted to be able to see more of it.

@ christof: The Ziegelei Schüring, Münsterland DE industrial site photo is absolutely gorgeous. The way the light falls on the stacked pallet and the wheel and whatever it's mounted on creates a very painterly effect, almost like a still life. Very effective, very beautiful.
