    Default Calligraphy / Kaweco Sport Hacking by Gentian

    Lovely calligraphy from Gentian - also interesting is the modification she's made to her Kaweco sport, giving it a wide calligraphic nib.

    (Also, an ink to add to the, "Hmm, would like to try that" list)

    I would not call it a real "modification", since the Kaweco use normal friction fit feeds and nibs, but the outcome is really great! I would love to get my hands on a small Kaweco with a 1.5 nib.

    I hate it that Kaweco does not sell the calligraphy nibs separately like the "normal" nibs. If they would do that they could sell (a lot) more Kawecos...

    p.s.: Her blog is interesting. Thanks for the link.

    I've been hanging out at her blog a lot lately. I really like her stuff, a lot. And when I say that, I'm referring to both pens and her creative talent. I was also wishing I could pick up a a single, separate italic for Kaweco, as well.

    The Kaweco green Sport Ice is a beautiful colour.
    The J. Herbin Orange Indien is quite a nice orange too. The shading is much more dramatic in the first two lines.

    Just saw that jetpens.com now also has Kaweco calligraphy nibs, and they are fairly cheap:

    Nice spot Pinkys.Brain - I wonder if the UK stockists will start to carry these too?

    I must admit, I've always found this set very tempting;

    More great calligraphy from Gentian in J.Herbin Vert Empire with Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu Gaki for a chrome like dramatic effect.

    Yet another reason to get Pilot Iroshizuku Fuyu Gaki !!
