Cool Octopus - Write and Draw - Brown Colibri

Octopus - Write and Draw - Brown Colibri

Intriguing colour reminds me of persimmons, which grew on me over time. Very well behaved, even on copy paper, has lovely shading.

This belongs to Write and Draw line of nano pigment inks. They are waterproof, light fast, and ISO certified.
The complete line up the 38 inks are here:
the complete line of 38 inks:

Octopus has a host of warning on their site, basically using their inks only in cheap, well sealed pens.

    Let's start with the chroma:

I don't have this ink, but I do have most of your comparison inks. I sorta, kinda like the color; could see myself doing ink wash sketches with it, as it reminds me a little of red chalk, but it's WATERPROOF, so there you go.

Love the sketches. For once, busy little Mousie lazes along. Thanks again, Yazeh, for these thorough ink-splorations.
My other pen is a Montblanc.

Thanks for another thorough review and continuing exposure to this ink line, Yazeh! Still trying to remember what ink the chroma reminds me of... :/

The ink looks interesting. I'd probably have to try it out to see if I like it or not, but then I don't need any more inks... Enjoyed the quotes, love the artwork! Poor swatch-kitty getting poked by a needle-nose bird! Sweet trio taking care of and enjoying their plant. But I think that kitty's about to flick an ear any second now.

Oooh! Thank you. This is much nicer than I expected, and I'm very impressed with the chroma. As for the artwork - I love how you manage to give these little creatures such character with a few penstrokes. Fab.

This one's likely to go on my wantlist. I could see it being useful for all sorts of things and nice to write with too.

My gratitude as always for another excellent review - I know I've said it before, but I do so enjoy these.

Glad you like it. I was unsure about it at first but on some papers it's quite elegant, on others unflattering

I was referring to my new obssession with doing monotone pen/ink sketches with plain water wash. 😸
