Prompt 7 Cat: This is a new replacement drawing that I previously drew of a cat but there were some features I wasn't happy with at that time that have been changed.

Today's Hobonichi Techo quote is relevant to the prompt 'cat' and may perhaps inspire:

"We often talk about the human perspective, but cats have a lower line of sight than us, and they live in a more textural world. They only recognize the textures between the gaps, and I thought that would be a more natural way of describing the city. That's why I decided to look at the city with kitties as my models."

    (I'm still in the unwilling-to-abandon-initial-idea-but-can't-draw-it phase ...)

@catbert Quite an intriguing quote and architect.
I was thinking that you would put either Wolf or Piggy on a construction site driving a CAT machinery

I am totally cheating here, as this was done eons ago, for a magazine illustration...on coquille paper, with a grease pencil.

One discovery I made is that (though you wouldn't think it) my rough, ancient, yellowed drawing paper takes gel and fountain pen ink just fine.

My other pen is a Montblanc.

Love it. Are you at a loss because A. I cheated, or B. Use of coquille paper and no fountain pen ink? 😹

Found Astronaut Illo #2. Fountain pen on some sort of Vellum.

And a new CatToon. Thick but small sketchy pad, black ink.

You are too kind. These were from back when I did illos for sci-fi magazines.

PS, I found the last one of the trio I did. Thought it was in cocquille paper. It's on Bristol board.

@sailor, wouldn't mind seeing more of your work. Thank you for sharing it with us!

@catbert, for some reason I'm having flashes of Wolfy literally paraphrasing Neil Armstrong's quote while holding piggy between two jagged mountains

I'm also having flashes of an Astro-Nut
