Default anyone else have the Platinum Procyon?

I have the Platinum Procyon. I thought everything was okay with it and it was working fine. Until, that is, I unscrewed the barrel saw that the converter was leaking all over into the barrel. It turned out it wasn't all the way into the grip section. I don't whether I didn't originally push it into the grip section all the way, or weather it came loose after a time. It doesn't screw in, you just push it in and it doesn't seem to take a lot of effort to pull it out. I am worried that the converter comes loose too easily. Is there anyone else on here has a Platinum Procyon and uses a converter with it? Have you had this problem?

btw, this is the converter I am using with it: https://www.amazon.com/Platinum-conv..._grid_rp_0_4_t

I have the pen, but I haven't used it in years. My memory is that it's cheaply made.

It didn't seem cheaply made to me(at least before this latest incident).

My Platinum Procyon is not my favourite pen, but after some years I had never had any problem with it.

Well I have been keeping an eye on it. While the converter has not come loose as much as it was before, I think it is possible it became a teeny tiny be loose. Also, while it wasn't leaking like before I noticed a few tiny dots of ink on the outside of the converter. I have to say I am disappointed. The pen and converter had to be purchased separately, and neither was cheap. At the price I paid, the converter should fit properly and not come loose and not leak. That said. The still writes well and the the rest of the pen seems very well made. Again while the converter leaked a tiny bit. None of it got on the outside of the pen. It all either stuck on the converter or went into the barrel. So there is that. Perhaps I should try another converter?

The converter you're using has a "700" number designation. The ones I use are more like this, with a "500" designation:

    Also, dimensions are different.

hmm, I am not sure that would work in the Procyon.

I've typed the question "What converter for Platinum Procyon" into Google and several threads come up that the converters are quite loose and should not be switched between other Platinum pens. According to Cult Pens the converter they sell looks like your one and they say the only pens it doesn't fit are Preppy and Plaisir.

Sorry that I don't have an answer to your problem and having to buy a converter separately when buying new pens is also a gripe of mine but it seems like the tolerances of Platinum pen nipples and converter openings can frequently cause this problem with some of their models.
