    Default Blackbird sac replacement

Hi folks, I have to replace the sac on a blackbird, is it friction fit? is so a bit of hot air should loosen it a bit, correct? Thank you

Almost certainly friction fit, but after heating gently twist as if unscrewing. You'll soon find out which it is.

    Hi,

the section should be friction fit in the barrel, the sac itself is usually "glued" by shellac onto the section.

Hi Christof, here the photo. It is a 5260
Could I use a silicone sac instead of the latex ones?

You already got the confirmation by Deb and Jens concerning the question about the section.

Probably a silicon sac might work as well, but I prefer latex sacs since they are more elastic in my opinion (and original to this pen).

    Hope this helps.

I agree with Christof. A latex sac puts less stress on the filling mechanism. That's a very nice Blackbird!

managed to remove the section and my friend and I were surprised to find this sac in it. It should last a lifetime we believe. No need to replace it immediately. He says it works.
