I primarily picked a pack o' Peter Pauper paper; pen point persistently plopped past the paper's perimeter.
Twisted my nib so bad I had to stop using it

I thought AmazUK was in.... well, the UK. Jeez, they've got warehouses/distribution centers everywhere else in the freakin' world! Silly me.

Curious about this; follow this link & tell me the price you see: https://www.amazon.co.uk/iroful-Loos...s%2C391&sr=8-7
That is the exact same page I found. The payment price on there for UK buyers is GB£16.12 and that converts to US$20.45. Amazon includes taxes and shipping in that price so there is no extra to pay for the Global import. In fact it tells me this includes free delivery and deducts GB£6.57 from the original price of GB£22.69 to get my price to pay down to that price of GB£16.12. For a small notebook I consider it expensive. I bought 5 x Field Notes notebooks recently for GB£9.99.
Bear in mind that when you look at any Amazon UK page you have "shipping to a US address" in your settings. It knows you don't need the Global import. My settings include "shipping to a UK address."

Right after my query above, I wrote up this 'pre-post' & saved it for now, for comparison. I got:
Sakae Iroful, A5 loose leaf 100-sht pack : I'm seeing £16.12, equiv to $20.46 USD today at Amaz-UK.
When I bought it (Amaz-US on 24July), it was $12.37, or $13.30 with tax [free Prime 2nd-day delivery].
$7.16 USD/£5.64 more expensive there. Yup, might've been a deal breaker for me too!
All boils down to, 'll ike the song said: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubJ4z9JQGNk
~_/.
Addendum: And jsyk, on your UK page, it rather informs me in a red'-lettered popup, this product cannot be shipped to my location.
I also have a US address on my Amazon.co.uk account that I used when I was in Houston. I selected that as my address and got the same red-lettered pop up saying it couldn't be shipped to my location. It probably would have worked to show me the US price if I had looked for it on Amazon.com though.
Actually when I looked this morning there were a couple of Iroful items for GB£12 for sale by Amazon.co.uk. If I get Prime again I might go back and look otherwise I have to place an order worth £35. Better than Cult Pens though. I now only get free delivery if I place an order worth £100. Over the weekend I bought an Iceberg LE TWSBI 580 Diamond from Pure Pens with free delivery and a discount offer. I always shop around.

Yes that is true calamus, but Amazon doesn't worry about details like that.
I now have 2 Iroful notebooks to play with. I bought them from Amazon.co.uk, sold by and shipped by Amazon.co.uk and got large discounts off of both due to them offering me a £15 off £30 spend plus a £5 off £15 spend. Win Win.

Ever notice Amazon's selling price is near always higher than can be easily found elsewhere? That "free shipping" they're always touting, ain't.
Reminds me of a politician touting free everything if they get elected. The politician's opponent then asks who's going to pay for it, and the first politician replies, "Duh, what part of free don't you understand?"
In other words, no free lunch. Still, sometimes Amazon does come up with good prices that include the shipping. Not sure if they're loss leaders or discounted to Amazon because they're buying in volume. I do know that sometimes it's because they're selling knock-offs.

(What are you laughing at? Just change the name and the joke’s on you.)
Amazon's got a gambit that makes them TONS of money on a whim. Run this thru your calculator:
In 2022 they had (their number) 126-million Prime subscribers.
Multiply that by the $20 membership price increase they popped that year.
How'd you like to be able to raise $2-Billion,520-million US Dollars, with the push of a button?
That last increase came only 4 years after the previous $25 increase in 2018.
They presently have well over 400-million Prime subscribers.
Mars properties, anyone? 🚀
Personally, I find patience more profitable. I use the "free shipping" option and wait for stuff to come whenever it comes. From what my brother tells me, Prime no longer delivers. I think he keeps it for the shows and movies he can watch (I decline to pay for television or movies).
When I want to buy something specific I check its price everywhere I can. I agree Amazon often adds on an amount that is probably similar to what the price plus postage might be at other outlets, but sometimes there are bargains to be had.
Something that seems to work occasionally is to put an item in your cart then have a look at it every day for a few days. You might be surprised at the price variation.

I don't know if it works for Amazon UK, but there are sites like https://camelcamelcamel.com/ that track Amazon prices (and I believe if you create an account you can ask them to notify you of price changes).
