    Just published a new piece questioning South Jersey's weird geography. An area about one square mile seems like a psychic black hole...

    Yikes. I grew up about 20 miles due east in Tabernacle. My Dad grew up even closer, in Haddon Heights. I don't think I've ever been to that spot.

    Comments remind me there was a dingy, rundown cheap motel also there on Black Horse Pike --- across from the sewage pumping station. It was a filming location for the 1983 movie Eddie and the Cruisers.

    Never read it, but I'm sure there are lots of water-related scary stories in that genre.
