    Default Cheaper Cross Ink Converters

I have three Cross FP's (2 original Centuries and a Radiance) and I wanted a new converter because my older ones look like they may not last so long and they date back to the 1980's and 90's. I was surprised to see that new ones now cost around $15 at my local store and cheaper ones from far away cost even more with shipping charges added. So, I checked out Aliexpress. where I bought Chinese pens in the past. Sure enough, if you search for "Cross converter," you'll find one for only $1.69, plus $1.99 for shipping. I went for one a few months ago and was surprised that it came pretty soon, and not from China, but from a U.S. location. It fits into the Cross section perfectly but is not a piston that you turn like a screw, but a lever that moves up and down. Just like many other converters, it's tricky to get a 100% fill, but it does fill OK and I have no complaints about paying under $4 for something instead of $15. A picture of the converter from their website is attached.

I thought that the Cross converters ended after the Spanish Inquisition.

M: An argument isn't just contradiction.
    A: It can be.
M: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
    A: No it isn't.
M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
A: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.
M: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'

If you buy two of them you can actually make them look like a cross. But not if it makes you feel cross.

You look a little shocked. Maybe you would like a seat in the comfy chair until you have composed yourself.

I think this ink is the proper one to use in a Cross converter

All of this is based on the surname of Alonzo Cross (1846-1922).

What does the name Cross mean?
The origin of the Cross surname is English. It is from the Middle English 'Cros', and is topographical. It would have been given to those who lived at or near a cross or crucifix, a common structure in the medieval countryside.

Alternative variations of the name Cross
    Cross, Crosse, Craws, Cros, Crose
