Default Impatience with a '42 Triumph

This '42 Triumph Vac-Fill is my favorite firm XF writer.

Here is what can happen if you don't take care when returning your Triumph pen into its cap.

I wasn't aware of the damage until much later when I recently put pen to paper. I had no recollection of dropping the pen. An expert whose skill brought about a happy result and prefers to remain unnamed concluded the nib was caught in the edge of the inner cap. My carelessness had twisted the tines.

Now, all is well again. Lessons are still to be learned, even after decades of collecting.

Stops your heart to see such a horror. Fortunately, it looks like an easy repair for a nib pro.

Ouch! After seeing picture 2 I was pleased to read on that it was repairable. What a shock that must have been when you uncapped it to use it next.

A nib person who can repair a Triumph-style nib is a step above. Congratulations!
