    Default Sales Posts Limits

I have tried to find a post..... from the least year or two, I think. But, I have been unsuccessful.
    Can someone help, please?
The post requested that sellers show some courtesy to others by placing a self-imposed limit upon the number of sales posts they put up at any one setting.
As I recall, the number requested was five? And the consensus of the members who responded was an agreement.
Is this a correct recollection? If so, then please let this serve as a friendly reminder.
And, if I am wrong, my apologies.

    Thanks very much Chrissy!
I guess I conflated two such posts because, yes, I was thinking of this one but also of the one @FredRydr just reposted.

I think voluntary adherence to the "Limit of 5" guidance would be a nice demonstration that moderators / administrators are not needed for something which is simply a matter of members showing some courtesy to one another.

Fascinating. The subtle need to tell other people what to do, always couched in terms of being nice and courtesy and good manners. The great passive-aggressive FU.

Frankly, I don't care how many posts someone puts up to sell pens, paper, ink, etc. Given the nature of the venue, I'd disapprove of a raft of posts selling rafts and coconut cream eggs and frozen yogurt.

    Equally fascinating.
Why not simply state you disagree and that don't care how many posts someone puts up to sell pens, paper, ink, etc.?
IMO, all you've accomplished with your flame is to remind everyone that your user name is an oxymoron.

In actuality we are simply dealing with a minor first world aspect of "The Tragedy of the Commons" (Ref. Garrett Hardin).

Qxymoronic as it may seem to you, I want no mistake made about the origin of my user name.

I spent 10 years working in California prisons. Inmates gave me that name as a sign of respect --- not because I was especially bright but because I was the rare staff that respected them as human beings. For that reason, I cherish that moniker. Just so you know!
