    Cool De Atramentis Document Orange

    De Atramentis Document Orange

I reviewed itís sibling ink a few weeks ago, this is a paler version, watery and lacks lubrication.

When I first tested this ink few years ago, it didnít leave a good impression. It still has not changed. If you're addicted to fountainpens and looking for a cure, this ink it is. My hand refuses to reach for the pen, I'm cured

On the plus says itís good on copy paper, and for those who love shading it does, but the legibility becomes compromised.

If you absolutely need a waterproof orange, I will go for the Artist version (itís cheaper and more lubricated) or try one of the numerous Octopus Write and Draw oranges. I would say this ink is only useful for art, ink washes and mixing.

Note the images are harsh so you might need sunglasses 😎

    Writing Samples:
It's impossible to scan and difficult to photograph. I added full page comparison with De Atramentis Artist Orange, so you can make up your mind:
I didn't use a flex pen, I dipped a Brause rose dip pen nib.

    Pale? Weak? Watery? Lacks lubrication?

    Sign me up! 😹

But I do love the sketches! And the fact that the chroma looks like a candle flame. And your descriptions!

So keep it up, Yazeh! Can't wait to see the next; I always like it when it's an ink I've actually used. Thanks! 👍🏻

My other pen is a Montblanc.

And my other blog is a tumblr!

And my latest ebook, for spooky wintery reading:

    Thanks, @Sailor Kenshin
Now I was always under the impression that you "never" used pigment inks. What happened ?

A most encouraging introduction to this ink... Nonetheless, I'm going to be brave and slog through to the treasured artwork at the end...

No idea where my sunglasses are, so, squinting as I scroll.... Ooooh, nice candle flame. I'll bet Artist Orange is embarrassed to be seen in public next to Document Orange... Gaaaaah, Electric Orange laser beam strikes again! My eyes! My eyes! I see that the kitty rejected testing the orange for fear its citrus oil would leak. (There are now 2 kitties between me and the keyboard. Almost impossible to type....) Ah, Fred and Ginger - We could have fun making up stories about this scene.

Thank you for enduring long enough to bring us an informative, cautionary, and fun review, Yazeh!

    I wonder their dialogue:
    "Don't walk with me"
"I'm more permanent than you. You should be proud"
    "Permanently ugly"

Yep. That's the fun thing, about the name, so many stories and possibilities. If I get my act together, I might do another one, just to finish the ink
