    Default 144 converter question

    Hi all,
First off, I'm a newbie to the fp community. Recently purchased a vintage (90s?) MB 144. It hasn't come with a converter. So the question is, which converter will fit this pen? Is it push fit or screw in? I can't see any internal threads, so am assuming push fit. I'd like to source an original MB part – with gold trim to match the pen. Alternative brand suggestions welcomed – I've read somewhere a Schmidt K5?. Hoping this is an easy question to answer. Struggled to find online info.

The converter pushes in, and mine, which came with the pen, is chrome, rather than gold.

Definitely a push in converter. If you want to be sure to get an authentic Montblanc one then be sure to buy it from a reliable source as you will find 50 fakes for every genuine one. I have one somewhere that has never been used but I'm not at home currently so can't add a pic until I return home. I believed they came in gold trim as well as steel trim but could be wrong.
