Hi all
As subject, anyone got the correct ratio (or correct ish) when mixing Shellac for Ink sac attachment.
I use a 3lb cut for my woodwork, what ratio do you guys (and girls 😉 use.
Thanks for any help with this
Paul

in your post about this on FPN... Whatever comes out of the Zinsser can. That's what Sheaffer used, and all that I've ever used. I haven't found that the cut mattersmuchat all.

3 pound seems a little thick. I’d go no more than 2.
Hi.
I use shellac in isopropanol. I newer measured what ratio exactly... the solution has a viscosity like honey.
Works well for our ink sacs and to glue marocco leather onto vintage cameras.

Apparently Zinsser Shellac is a 3lb cut and that's what I use in my woodworking so will give it a go on my next sac replacement.
