Default Why are Japanese pens better?

Additionally, many Japanese pens and pencils are made with fine woods and metals, giving them a weight and balance that is both comfortable and satisfying to use. One of the most popular Japanese stationery items is the fountain pen. Japanese fountain pens are known for their smooth writing experience and durability.

I've found several good types of Japanese pens; ~Pilot's Granch, Cosmopolitan, and their excellent pocket-size Preras for instance. And their QC is usually always excellent...
But then IME the lower priced Japanese Sailor Profit Jr I have is nowhere as good as the lower priced Jinhao and Hong Dian Chinese pens I also own. However with the Chinese pens QC seems to be a hit or miss situation, with most pens being darn good but then sometimes others of the same brand being reported as deficient in quality...

Skip, JJ: why are you guys falling for spam posts? If you look at the OP you can see the random spammy links sprinkled in there. Not to mention it is the first and only post from that... spambot. Let's exercise a little grey matter before jumping in.

Hmmmm, yer right, damnit! ~The OP is more than a wee bit generic ain't it? T'was late in the evening and I was tired and not as sharp as I can be!
    ~My excuse {this time!}, and I'm stuck with it I guess?

I don't know about you but i can see that the words known and durability are links because they are blue and are clickable. Next time maybe just scroll along the text and see if any words show up as links. Also why would a normal person write a three sentence post in such a stupid way? It surely screams out this is a Spammer! Still it could have been worse. You might have Replied with Quote and spread the spam links.

Sheeesh, I never did see those 'links' embedded in there until you just told me about them! It's not very obvious; ~IMO those traps should be displayed a lot brighter or in a much different color from the regular text! I'm also in a musicians' forum that's well set up and well moderated, and that kinda crap would never get thru!

You hafta watch it with the used sales offerings here also... After I posted a certain WTB I got one response post with a price greater than what's currently available for a new such item, and another one with what looked like "too-good-to-be-true" wording. ~This last post was also from someone who was a 'member' here for some 18 months w/o a single other post or 'like' or anything; -everything was set to zero! And when I told this particular seller I was buying the item from someone else he (or she) made an abrupt, churlish remark! I eventually bought this item from someone here a longtime, with lot's of good ratings. Haven't received the item yet but have the USPS tracking number and am expecting everything to be okay... (Hopefully?)

I saw them too. As well as with near-instant recognition of the handiwork of the quickly-becoming-obnoxious-to-even-those-that-have-heretofore-embraced-it AI spambotz. Surprised [not really tho, considering] no threads (to best knowledge) have been started here re the quasi-obvious "authors" of most of these days' web ads about.....fountain pens! Among many many others. You think all those glorious lengthy descriptions of pens that have NOTHING to do with the actual pen & its performance, are being written by hoomanz? hah. Seems the world's Marketing Depts are embracing the living f##k out of it. Let's hear it for Creativity!! Holy Shades of the Peter Principle!!!

Besides, it had just been posted, so no re-roll squawlings - I thought. It was ridiculously late, so not much traffic. And the central thought - they spam us, I spoof da bastids right back!

    How'm I doing so far?
