Yep you guessed it. A vintage TV remote from the 1960s, no batteries needed, instead when the buttons are clicked, the device emits ultrasonic frequencies to control the TV by hammering aluminum rods (the 4 circles). The nerd side of me is fascinated by how this thing works.

That's very interesting (as well as being a good drawing, of course). I was vaguely aware that the first TV remotes used ultrasound, but hadn't realized that they were entirely mechanical devices that didn't need batteries. Just did a bit more reading on the subject. Thanks.

I was expecting one of you "SciFi Geeks" to do some type of event horizon (entrance to a black hole) themed picture.

A: No you didn't; no, you came here for an argument.
M: An argument isn't just contradiction.
    A: It can be.
M: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
    A: No it isn't.
M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
A: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.
M: Yes, but that's not just saying 'No it isn't.'
    A: Yes it is!
    M: No it isn't!

Posting early as I want to get to bed soon. #14, "Roam".

The little viking ship is an actual object that sits in front of my computer monitor. It's a souvenir of a trip to Norway in the 1980s. I forgot to draw the little round shields along the side, though. D'oh! Here's a photo of it and some of my other desk junk.

The last prompt didn't yield anything that I am happy with... skip!
