Selling my Delta Inuit Special Limited Edition lever-filled fountain pen, with a broad stubbed nib. 1576 units of this SLE were produced in Italy in 2003, using hand-turning solid blocks of a new type of resin and a new process of bonding the materials (producing the gorgeous striped design).
This pen is a most unique exemplar of Delta’s “Indigenous People Collection”, and is a standout in the pen world in general. It is hard to think of another like it.
The trim on the pen is plated solid silver, including a capuchon that is engraved with an image of the Inukshuk; same as the image displayed on the 18K gold nib.
Included are all of the original materials (ink bottle, pamphlet, instructions) and the display-style box. The outer cardboard cover is a bit ragged, but intact.
I used the pen on occasion, but it shows only minimal signs of use (no scuffs, scratches, nicks, etc.), and is a gorgeous writer. The nib is buttery, and the flow is perfect, thanks to the ebonite feed.
Needless to say, these SLE editions are hard to find now, especially since Delta is no more. I am including a screenshot from Yafa.com who were the distributors of Delta in the US.
Price: $495 shipped within USA via USPS Priority Mail. At this point I am not selling internationally.
