    Question Seller ratings?

I bought something thru the Classifieds here, & wanted to give the seller a boost. There's a li'l green checkmark at bottom of the ad with words 'Rate Seller', which I clicked then filled in the requisite info. But when I click to post it, I get an error message stating the (Required) Deal URL is invalid. I copied & pasted the URL from the ad page itself -- how can that be?? What am I doing wrong?

Another obtusity never addressed on the site. I *think* that if the link you copied starts with "https", you need to remove the "s" and repaste that. If that isn't the case, you do the opposite - add an "s". It's been a long time so that may not be the trick, but worth a try.

Ditching the 'S' did the trick, Jon -- you da man!! LOL
Gets downright exasperatin' trying something 3-4 times just as it shows & it still won't work. I was trying to match the format of the example at the tail end, as the copied URL adds another number (¿post # ? ) not shown in the example. No dice so turned to here. Thanks again!

When I've left seller FB I have always had to delete the "s". from "https" - - I think the same requirement applies when adding a link to any post, it used to: I noticed a post on fpg this p.m. that has a link to imgur.com with the "s" in tact.

Thx Robert. That might explain the several times I've clicked links & got pulled over by the Captcha Patrol. [Maybe the one worst thing I most mortally despise on the intarwebz!] Like, they show one or three pictures with an intersection 4 miles away, and ask if it has a stoplight. Or a crosswalk! And don't get me started about the bicycles!! ~B[

The box that appears when you try to post a link shows the URL should start with http: but whenever you actually post a link into it, "http" is overwritten and it adds the "s". You just need to delete it again. Sometimes it doesn't matter but with others it doesn't work unless you delete the "s"

e.g. if I click on the link icon to post a link here this is what it shows me:

It's automatically set up to overwrite the beginning of the URL

(I have to do this delete "s" procedure every time I edit the index.)
