That is so sweet. I have never seen one like it. Would it be hard to repair?
    Ok, let's find out.

Neat little (steel) nib with some flex, and good tipping.

Lots of dried ink though, and the button only moves a little and is "crunchy". It'll go in for a soak and I'll see if I can get the nib/feed out.

Speaking of the feed, it's cracked - which is probably also why it was in a parts lot. I have a couple others that may work, but I'm all ears on ideas for repairing that crack.

I was sure that was a crack, and even saw it separate if I flexed it a little.

    Nope. Just crusty ink.

    Weird.

Now to see if I can get this section off, and see what's inside.

The section screwed in, and I'm impressed with the lathe work. It's one solid piece of ebonite. Those are some fine threads.

The nib looks to say "Platiridio" and "Aurora". No idea what it's made of. It's springy/flexy.

The feed is a decent chunk of ebonite too. The wedge cut on the end is something I haven't seen before.

The button bar wasn't that corroded, and cleaned up nicely. It still has lots of spring.

Everything right before putting it together

I had one sac on hand - an 18. It works, but it really needs a 17.

It had been cracked, but then the elves came and fixed it when you weren't watching. Happens all the time. Might be a good idea to leave out some cookies for them by way of thanks.
Hmmm. I wonder what this button does...
