Getting Noticed on Spotify with Playlist Plays
So, I've been promoting my indie playlist on Spotify for a while but can’t get it past a few hundred streams. I keep hearing that playlists with lots of plays are more likely to get traction, but even after sending it to music blogs and sharing it online, it hasn’t made much difference. It’s a tough crowd out there, especially with how Spotify’s algorithm favors popular tracks. Has anyone here tried using paid plays to give their playlist a boost? How many plays would you recommend starting with, and how quickly did you see results? Do you think a paid service could be a good investment for independent artists like me?

Re: Getting Noticed on Spotify with Playlist Plays
I’ve been in the same boat! It’s hard getting the right traction without some initial push. I tried boosting my playlist through paid plays recently, and here’s what worked for me: I chose buy playlist plays from Spotibuy because of their range of play options (like 1,000 to over 10,000 plays, depending on your playlist size). Starting with around 5,000 plays seemed natural for me, and it built solid social proof—people tend to check out playlists with some activity. It’s best to go for consistent increments, rather than a huge spike at once; it appears more organic to Spotify’s algorithm and avoids red flags. Besides, I noticed that once the playlist hit a decent play count, it started showing up in search results more often. That visibility translated into organic plays over time. Spotibuy actually proved really useful, especially since their plays work well with Spotify’s algorithm rather than triggering any penalties.
