Cleaning Montblanc Writers Edition

Hi all,

It's nice to be here, nice to meet you all.

I registered in this forum because after my grandfather passed away (RIP), I got one of his ballpoint pens as a memory. He loved writing and everything around it and its world.

This pen was not used, maybe when it was bought, but nothing else (I think, since he was just collecting them). It was kept in its box until now during the last decade for sure.

I am asking for help, because during this time it has deteriorated, and some stains also appeared

Is there anything I could do to make it look as it was originally?. I guess these materials are good, so I hope it can be cleaned without doing anymore damage. I don't know which products I should use.

Not looking for selling it or anything, but this is a little treasure I want to keep as it deserves it.

if it is the silver that has tarnished through the years then a jeweller's polishing cloth for silver should do the trick. Isn't there such cloth in the box?

Yes, it the cloth is there. I will try it out, I didn't know if it would be enough so I preferred to ask before open it. Thank you.
