    Default EFNIR: Platinum Violet

Extra Fine Nib Ink Review: Platinum Violet

This is review #312 in my series. Here's the YouTube video:

Post-recording notes: This cartridge came with a Platinum Preppy. It was new enough that I didn't need to add water.

This is a very magenta-y purple. The images did not want to cooperate, so the colors are off in all of them. The slide was boring as could be. Cleaning was quick and easy.

Erratum: "I quickly surrounded..." should be "It quickly surrounded..." :/

Zoomed in photo (This probably comes closest, but it's too pink.)

Screenshot (Color a little too dark and makes a strange transition from the top to the bottom of the page.)

Scan of Completed Review (On one monitor, it's too neon; on the other, slightly too purple.)

Absorbent Paper Close-up (top is puzzle paper like thick newsprint, bottom is old 20lb copy paper) (Both are also too pink.)

Line width (The "I" in "Ink:". Magnification is 100x. The grid is 100x100µm. The scale is 330µm, with eleven divisions of 30µm each. The line width for this ink is roughly 330µm. With 312 inks measured, the average line width is 297µm.) (Much purpler than what my eyes see. But you also see the gold sheen here.)

    Previous Review: Rotring Brillant (Black).

    Thanks for another Tuesday treat
The color I avoid without hesitation. I'm glad cleaning was easy.
The storyline and the mold reminded me of the Star Trek discovery 2nd season. Discovery doesn't need traditional warp but a supposedly shroom network. In one episode the network uses a mold/ fungus coccon as a transporter to abduct one of the crew members. Though the mild here is more benevolent. A bit far-fetched episode, but it's sci-fi
The denouement is touching and cathartic, bravo
Looking forward to another fun Tuesday

Purples and pinks do often stain or cling. I'm thinking there may be a connection between "boring microscope slide" and "easy to clean".

Hey! They stole my sentient shrooms! I should sue! (Sounds more like fantasy than sci-fi, but whatever - "It's fiction; we believe.")

Aaahhhhh! I believe there is a teeny bit of sparkle detected in the micro. This ink has possibilities. And I have one cartridge! Also had the Thornton, though it misbehaved, and eventually went to the cornfield.

Red-violets are purdy. Maybe I will ink up my Preppy!

Liz! Ya dunnit again. Made Tuesday magical, but this time I am still kinda gripping the edge of my seat, even when things appear to be moving in the right direction.

I always look forward to the next review and story! Keep 'em coming please.
My other pen is a Montblanc.

Yes indeed, that's some sheen in there. I think your Preppy might need some encouragement to put out enough for it to show in writing - if you have some Iroful, that might help.

Thank you! You'll be able to relax your grip next week - no promises about the following week, though.

@LizEF, technically, the Spore Drive was invented 1-2 centuries from now, but patented in 21st-century by paramount screenwriters. You might be able to sue retroactively, maybe, as your time period is way, way before
