Mabie Todd Swan found in junk shop
Hi all
I have just picked this Mabie Todd Swan up in a local junk shop can anyone tell me a little about it.
The imprint is very feint but looks like it says
Swan Minor No2
Mabie Todd
Made in England.
Only paid £5 for it and after a good clean and a re-sac it writes a nice smooth wet medium line.
Nib says SWAN 2 Mabie Tod & Co Ltd.
When where these pens made and is that the correct cap for this model.
Thanks for any help
Paul

Re: Mabie Todd Swan found in junk shop
That version of the Swan Minor No2 is a nineteen-twenties pen. It precedes the Minor with the Vulcanite lever and the heavy engine turning. That's not the original cap but if the pen is a good writer what does that matter?

Re: Mabie Todd Swan found in junk shop
Many thanks for the reply and information. I suspected it was the wrong cap even though it is a perfect fit, it has Swan on the clip though so it from the right make at least.
Thanks again
Paul
