    Bump.

Just trying to get some actual pen threads at the top of the list.

Also, when I go out shortly, after this gesture toward restoring a "normal" pen forum, I'll be carrying my Sheaffer Imperial 440.

    Bump.

Pens I used yesterday included a Lamy 2000 with De Atramentis Document Fog Grey, a Parker 61 with Private Reserve Tanzanite, and a 1970s version of the Pilot Elite with Pilot Blue-Black.

Not today, but this was the pen that I used 2 weeks ago when I was visiting Tokyo.
As you know I am not a modern pen collector, but this Togidashi Hira Maki-e "Phoenix" just called out to me when I was there.
And this one has the no.10 Pilot nib.

Dougc, Penwash, Christof, and RWS, those are some fine looking pens and photography.

Having emptied a couple of other pens recently, I inked this Esterbrook Mini Dollar Pen. It's esthetically my favorite of my too many Esterbrooks, so it's holding my favorite Esterbrook Nib, a 9788.

Hadn't actually used this in quite a while, and I'd forgotten just how nice this nib is. Well, maybe just a bit broader than I like for general writing, but it's extremely smooth.

For ink I'm using Namiki blue, from a bottle obviously, since this is a lever filler. I've noticed for myself and I believe seen it confirmed by others that the bottled version is more water resistant than Pilot's blue cartridges.

M: I came here for a good argument.
A: No you didn't; no, you came here for an argument.
M: An argument isn't just contradiction.
    A: It can be.
M: No it can't. An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.
    A: No it isn't.
M: Yes it is! It's not just contradiction.
A: Look, if I argue with you, I must take up a contrary position.

Lightly cleaned only; this is how it came. You can see by the section and barrel portion usually covered by cap that no fading had occurred. I got it from 5 Star pens, described as "crisp", and it is. I supplied correct nib, pressure bar and sac. FWIW, here's a photo from the eBay listing, which gave me an indication of condition, although their photo (note the 'white' background) wasn't color-corrected and appears warm:

Another pen emptied, another pen filled. I mentioned in the mini-pens thread that I should try my Stipula Passaporto again some time, and I'm doing just that. Using it as an eyedropper filler, with De Atramentis Document Dark Green ink.

It has a tendency to be a slow starter, but once started, it goes along quite smoothly. I find that it helps to keep it nib down in a cup until I'm ready to use it.

Of course, this tiny pen would be unusable if not posted, and it helps that the cap screws on in the posted position. Even then, it's quite short, but I'm able to write with it comfortably enough, and the nib is pretty nice, smooth and somewhat on the broad side of medium.

I'll probably use this until I use up the ink that I've put in there,

I used the Stipula that I mentioned last time. Also wrote a bit with this Montblanc Noblesse. I've been keeping it filled with De Atramentis Document Cyan.

When getting ready to take this picture, I came perilously close to knocking the pen on the kitchen floor. Luckily it only went a little sideways on the counter, and the nib was untouched.
