I think I see a scratch on that Edson. You need to send it to me so I can nurse it back to health!

I remember once having an original Waterman Edson sapphire blue converter and don't know if I kept it or sold it on eBay. It was a lovely colour though. I understand they are substantial, weighty pens. All three look really good.

and a nice Parker "51" set originally sold in Milwaukee:

My 2'nd Kaweco Sport arrived via USPS today. It's gray colored and this one has a BB nib. I plugged in the cartridge it came with and ~wow~, what a beautiful, extremely smooth flowing, nice wide line of royal blue ink! Even tho I already have a Sport (but with an F nib) I didn't expect such beautifully bold writing coming from such a small and very plain looking fountain pen... If a smooth, bold way to lay down ink on paper (any kind of paper!) is of one's prime concern, then this Sport with a BB nib is a really good answer AFAIC!BB-Sport.jpeg

You're right about the converter. Besides being what I consider over-engineered mine is translucent blue. They have one in clear also.

And the pen itself is weighty without being too heavy. I don't like pens that pull my shirt pocket out of shape when carrying it.

Sellers have gotten crazy on the pricing of the Edsons. But ohhh the glories of capitalism! 😁

Sheesh Doug! I had to look up that word! Thank you!

Those blue Edsons sure are beautiful pens tho! -To me the word 'elegant' comes to mind. ~Makes me think of set designs and women's dresses in 1930's Fred Astaire movies...

    This! SO this!!!

I also hate 'em pulling the neckline of my no-pocket T-shirts down. But not as bad as when clipping one in up there & it gettin' all caught up in my beard, & when I pull it out to sign some form or other at the VA & impress the pretty nurses & all, but it comes out with 2 or 3 what looks like fat tangled pubic-hairs-on-steroids waving in the winds.
    Talk about losing the moment!

On the other hand.... Ever notice the best deals seem to come up when you're dead broke?

& What is it about this stuff when, after deciding OK, that's it, I own more fountain pens than I'll ever write with, so I am DONE buying them! And then, a super deal comes up on something you've been quasi-grailing on for months.
That was kind've me. & while not here quite yet, I'll have 5 more arriving within the week!

    It's a sickness.

The colour converters to the Edson pens {blue, green and red} were nice complement to the exceptional pens.

And this one is one of the most beautiful I have IMO.

Herbert Pen Co. The Churchill Libby Sunrise model.

They are truly reasonably priced for a custom pen.

    Give them a look.

Fascinating. I’d never seen or heard of these. Tks.
