looking at all of the special editions there's only one that could be considered a dark color (black) everything else is bright happy pastels and neon. So my money is on electric purple.

Purple would be nice, since everyone wants one so badly, but I would be so happy if the new color was green.

I really need to find a 2011 French Blue safari. In addition to being a cool color, it's baby blue from the year my baby boy was born. Finding the money to afford one would be a good start though.

Sailor Kenshin I made a mistake, the french blue was an older special edition, which looked like this.

it's the aquamarine I need, which looks like this

Oooo...that's one I have. Which year was it, last?

PS: Oh...I see, from a couple years ago. Thanks!

As far as I can tell the Aquamarine was 2011 and the french blue was 2006. I don't have any money at this particular moment but I'd love to buy a user quality 2011 aquamarine from somebody. I don't care what nib it has since I'll probably just replace it with an italic.

To get the thread back on track, if it could be this color green I'd be pretty happy.

It's always amusing to see people jump into any thread on 'x'- brand fountain pens specifically to state, "I detest Montblancs/Heros/Safaris/Whichevers and never shall one taint my collection!''

I didn't say anything of the sort. Like the design - but don't want one. If that's okay with everyone else?

    My apologies.

Anyone have an Orange Safari they'd be willing to sell me? I don't have a preference between 2004/2009.

Mine too, sorry for being snappish. Actually, I don't recall seeing much of that here, which is refreshing.

A rainbow one or a barber shop pole swirl?! Don't quite know how they would do it!

There was an FPN thread about someone who home-colored her white Safari with ... ballpoint pen ink.

    Including the shading.
"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

If they made a premium priced Safari out of fancy acrylics I might buy one.
