I just got my mom the neon coral and she loved the color and said she'd have picked it herself. Maybe she is just being nice. I haven't seen it in person yet. It wasn't to my taste but I had a feeling she'd like it. So, there's another datapoint.

I got the Coral Safari when Goulet announced it being available. It is way bright and cheerful--I have seen much duller versions of "coral". But I don't have holes burned in my retinas or anything like that...

Not so happy with the Diamine Coral ink I bought with it however, I'm looking for something with more contrast on the paper...

I have seen the Lamy Al-Star in purple. Not really purple-y enough (if purple-y is a word).

Your reminder of how many violet inks there are encourages me to mention that my TWSBI Mini classic has Pilot Iroshizuku Murasaki-Shikibu in it and my Lamy Vista has De Atramentis Magenta Violet in it. My TWSBI 580 has Private Reserve Plum in it, and my Pelikan M200 demonstrator has Private Reserve Purple Mojo in it.

I am thinking of branching out into reds...
I have the Monteverde Prima in the purple as well as the Turquoise. While I love the 1.1 nib, looking back, I think I would rather have saved the price of this new purple one and gone hunting for an Edison in purple...

I LIKED the color, lol. I wonder what the Official Neon Coral cartridge ink looks like.
My other pen is a Montblanc.

Someone sent me one, but I have not tried it yet. Goulet has them now.

Now that the Neon Coral ink carts are available ... I finally did it: ordered pen (1.1 nib) and carts both. Maybe I should have thrown in some Diamine Coral as a sample.
