Great review. This is one of those pens I have half an eye on: should I or shouldn't I?

I suppose at the right price, I should.

Did the little nubs on the section bug you at all?
My other pen is a Montblanc.

And my other blog is a tumblr!

Not at all and my thumb rests on one of them with the way I hold the pen. Just take into account you may need to do some nib work on it.

Thank you for such a great review. I have one of these with a fantastic nib; sorry yours is a little off. I really love the soft and springy quality of the nib.

Thank you for the kind words. It is a bit disappointing that Lamy's flagship pen would have this kind of issue. As stated in the review, it will be remedied soon. I have decided to send this pen to Dan for the stub grind instead of doing it myself this time.

I have the same broad nib that went to Pendleton Brown. It is now a dream and a half.

I agree the Pendleton broad stub is great. But even that nib turned out to be too broad for me. Now I'm using a NOS stubbish steel fine nib that has a large sweet spot. Nice...

I like broad - the broader the better - in so far as italics and stubs are concerned.

I had similar problem with my L2K OM nib and sent it to Pendleton. His Medium Pendleton Point is perfect for me in every way. This is now my favourite nib.

OK, I finally managed to land one of these (F nib) out of the evilbay. I came very close to paying market price for one many times. I would not have been disappointed if I had. Wow this pen is nice. I will probably get the nib customized to write finer but the feel and the balance are perfect for me.

Mine has been packed away waiting to send off for nib tuning. I really need to get to the post office. I have been itching to use it.

I believe this may be my next big, fancy pen purchase. Okay, my first big, fancy pen purchase as I've never bought anything for more than $40. Even with the occasional nib issues I've seen noted, I've heard nothing but good things about this pen, and I'm rather excited to get it in hand at some point. I must thank you for posting this review, even though my wallet does not.
