    Default Ink Mystery

One of my recent favorite inks is Noodler's 54th Massachusetts. I have had it in my F-C #65 for months. I liked it so much I bought a back up bottle to keep at my office. Today I decided to use that bottle to fill one chamber of my new Edison double nibbed Pearl. There is no relation between the two inks. I assume one mislabeled. Which is the real 54th Mass? The gorgeous Blue-Black or the turquoise? Any one know?uploadfromtaptalk1383253112354.jpguploadfromtaptalk1383253112354.jpguploadfromtaptalk1383253095739.jpg

I've never used the ink, but Goulet Pens suggests the blue-black.

Right. So what's in my other bottle? Purchased, I'm pretty sure, from Goulet though they are obviously not responsible for labeling.

Oops. I may have solved this. I grabbed the wrong bottle of ink thinking it was 54th mass.

54th Mass. is one of my go to inks (although I dilute it 4 to 1).

I am using a sample of this color right now, and I swear it was like pouring crude oil into my big eyedropper, and has been so thick and even a little gloppy coming out. I may need to open the pen and add some water. I don't dislike the color though, once it dries it's kind of an interesting shade.

Well I was right the first time. The color difference between the two bottles is extreme and the second bottle must be mislabeled and not what I want. I dumped it and put in Midnight Blue.

But it was still nice! And it looked kind of what it looks like very diluted...

"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.
