    Default Pen Spotting? Why not!

    http://www.pensbylyleross.com/1/post...tted-pens.html

I finally did something that I've wanted to do for a while now - a spotted pen. The original was always going to be a dalmatian pattern - white with black spots. But, a little mishap down at the brewery delayed that pen, and the ladybug was finished first.

I'm very happy with how it turned out! The first one isn't perfect, but I am confident that the next one (after the dalmatian at least - more learning opportunities with that one ) will be. I'm very happy to add these to my roster.

Next up will be more colors, and a drop shadow idea that I have. It should be really cool... if it works

There's also a video at the blog entry linked above. I'm not sure if a am allowed to put it in the post - anybody?

    Thanks for looking!

Fantastic! My daughter will love this pen. I would never remember to do this and now that I see it I just love it

Do you cast the material yourself or you buy it already casted?

    Thanks!

I make this resin myself. This one is a multi-step process, so more complicated than normal, but still all cast resin.

It's so cute! And the black section is perfect on this pen.
    Thanks for showing.

Thanks everybody! I have to admit, I'm thrilled with this resin design. I can't wait to make more, and other colors. The white/black one I've got half done looks good too.

It would look cool with a black cap with eyes on it.

"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

Heh, I thought about eyes on the section, but the cap would be easier!
