    Default A Gold Stardust Pompey

As some of you may know, I held a simple drawing on Fountain Pen Day. The winner was able to have a custom fountain pen made, and this is it - Pompey 3 - the second Pompey I've made from this material. It's Alumilite resin that I poured, and I call it Gold Stardust. I've got plans for a whole line of Stardust Pompeys in various colors. I really like this combo.

This is a large Pompey, with 14mm cap threads and a #6 JoWo nib. It will be shipped with a pen pillow. I've posted more about this pen on my site - http://www.pensbylyleross.com/pompey...-stardust.html - but I'll post the better photos here. Thanks for looking!

    Thanks!

I've got all the measurements on the pen's page on my website here -----> http://www.pensbylyleross.com/pompey...-stardust.html

It's a good sized pen - about 15cm capped and 13.5cm uncapped, 14mm cap threads. Unfortunately, I don't have a 149 to compare it to.

It is tapered a bit, but definitely cigar shaped. It does not post well, though it certainly could have had that been requested.

Really love this shape and especially love no visible hardware. Nothing to disturb the lines of it. The name is well suited, too. Thank you for sharing!!!

Gorgeous! I love the gold swirly material, and the simplicity of the pen shape. I have always been a big fan of the cigar styles.

That acrylic pattern is magnificent. Probably has a cool name if done with maki e, as well as an infinitely higher price tag, but gold star dust is also nice.

"What are moon-letters?" asked the hobbit full of excitement. He loved maps, as I have told you before; and he also loved runes and letters, and cunning handwriting, though when he wrote himself it was a bit thin and spidery.

Thanks everybody! I really like this combo, and I'm going to see if other colors work just as well. I have a deep purple version poured that I'll get to after I finish another pen I'm working on.

Yeah, I'm terrible at naming pens and resin designs. I'm a bit of a space geek, and love cosmic art. This resin reminds me of that, so.....stardust

Looks good. Always have been impresed by your blanks.
Expect the glass to break---------------And accept it.

You’ll have peace of mind. And that, my friends, is a welcome surprise.

Thanks! I'm actually going to be attempting to make a silver version of this pen, which may be pretty much the night sky if it works right. Actually, I have several colors in mind, working towards my goal of celestial art pens in resin. It will be a lot of work, but fun work
