Default Noodler's 54th Massachusetts Colour Change?

I have just started using this ink and really like the colour. I just filled my pen for the second time (it's a Pilot Vanishing Point) and noticed the colour has changed. I suspect thus is because the first time I filled it I had just washed it and the ink was diluted. The previous ink was Iroshizuku Asa Gao. Here's a picture showing before and after. The second fill is much bluer and seems to lack the greenish-grey colour. I think I like the first colour better. Has anyone else experienced this variation?

Just had a thought. I shook the bottle and the great colour is back! So my lesson is - shake the bottle before filling. I just gave the bottle a gentle inversion two times and the delightful grey-green is back. Might this explain the differing views on the colour of 54th?

    Interesting....

Maybe give the bottle a gentle shake. I've noticed some colour separation, it happened in my Ahab after I didn't use it for a couple of days.

Oh, the first colour is accurate.

Wow! That was fast Snedwos! I was editing my post while you replied.
    Thanks for the prompt advice.
All fixed now. It seems I keep learning where inks and fountain pens are concerned.

There will probably be some people who like the 'unshaken blue'...

I quite like it but its not what I was looking for when I bought it.

A few Noodler's inks should have a 'shake before filling' warning on them.
