    Default Tomoe River Notebook

I received my Tomoe River Notebook today and it is spectacular. The paper is the usual wonderful quality and seeing it lined for the first time is strange but wonderful. The outside cover is not fancy, a tan cardboard, but it would fit nicely into a notebook cover that I don't have (yet) and is more than serviceable as is. Comes with a place holding ribbon, opens pretty flat and seems well bound. I'm very pleased.

Mine arrived as well. WAY nicer than what I was expecting, not sure why, so I echo your feelings of being very pleased. Very substantial notebooks. Did yours come with what I assume is a heavy sheet for inserting as a writing surface? That is a nice touch given how soft the paper is. For those asking, Nanami Paper is where we ordered them.

I think they only had them in A5.

Yes A5, about 8.3x8. Perfect journal size. And yes, with the sheet to provide a writing surface, though I don't know if it is really necessary.

I adore Tomoe River paper! I just wish some of the Australian stockists would bring it into the country; the international postage rates on paper are a killer

I'm not sure if I should thank you or complain.

You kids have pushed me further into the delightful Tomoegawa abyss.

I just got a bound Tomoe River journal--it has @330 pages from "Paper for Fountain Pens" online. It's about 5.25 in x 8.25 in [not sure what the "A" designation is]. It's hardcover, dark navy cloth bound, and the paper is cream.

It is so fine, I'm a bit in awe of it, but I'm starting a project that seems to deserve it so I know I'll get some ink on it soon.

Okay, okay. I'm going to have to break down and try some of this paper aren't I? You people are such enablers.

Did I miss something? I can't see where you got it from? I have the Paper for Fountain Pens version, which is fabulous, but A5 and lined would be total perfection.

I received a few notebooks and a leather cover and immediately ordered more notebooks. What amazing notebooks! There is a certain thrill to seeing the paper lined as Writingrav mentioned.

Forget x-mas presents - buy these notebooks!
