Parker 17 with odd Nib?

Hi all

Anyone ever seen a Parker 17 with this Sheaffer Triumph looking nib. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121220914953

No sign of this variation on the usual reference sites, anyone ever seen this one before?

About a month ago I saw a Parker 17 with the same nib variation sell for 21.90 GBP, so they are out there.

It is a Parker 17. They made the closed nib version and the open nib version.
The dates given by the seller are wrong - the 17 only appeared in the 60's.

So they made three different nibbed versions then, I have seen fully hooded like the 51 fully open like the duofolds and now the one in the link above. never seen any reference to the one above on any Parker reference site though. Was that nib used on any other Parker Pen.

Not the Parker expert, but according to:

They made all 3 versions.
The closed nib version is more common.

I understand the exposed point (which is more triangular than Triumph-ant) was phased out in about 1964 in favour of the enclosed set-up. The one I've got is remarkably flexible.
