Multi pen case in black.
I do have three large projects on the go at the moment so it can get a little confusing for me and for those watching it does help that they are different colours.
Anyway over the last few days I have started sewing the inner part of this case.
Unfortunately my problems with my right hand really slows things down

There is still a lot of finishing off required but I don't think it is too bad for my first large case in leather.

Sweet. I love how it can stand up so you can access the pens. Great idea.

First coats of orange on a round case still wet so it is very dark I do have a tendency to over dye so I am being quite careful.



I have been advised to start dying my leather before I form the cases and to consider using an airbrush he also told me where I could get one for a reasonable price so I now have an airbrush with compressor I just need to learn how to use it.

Your stand up case turned out really nice!

Thank you Kia there is still a long way to go on that case.



The orange case has had some mink oil paste on it this helps to even up the colour I have no idea how I am going to sew the sides of the case together.

Time to get the books out

In the end I just copied the nakaya case and saddle stitched up the side



I dyed a thong the same colour and used a piece of leather as a toggle and added some silver cones to the ends to tidy them up it is finished now and will be off to it s new owner soon.

Here is my latest colour the bottle said Aqua but to me it looks like British racing green



As I mentioned earlier I have been advised to try dying the leather before forming to improve the colour I think it has worked out well, I will try to get some better pictures later today.

I thought you might like to see the progress on the blue pen and notebook case for ALC3261

I glued the pen case and notebook holder to the inner lining ready for sewing

This is the outer cover with the gold plated magnetic catch

I added a little personalisation by embossing ALC into the leather

The next step was to glue the inner section and outer cover together and then I trimmed all of the edges and dyed them in the same colour.

The final stages are to seal the edges and multiple coats of carnauba wax.

Black 10 pen case
I did not like the straps I had fitted partly as I had sewn across the width of the strap making perforations in the strap.

I hope you don't mind Michael but I'm going to post the pen case you made for me. I love it. It's been used almost everyday. I'm loving it more as the leather softens up and the color changes. It's my bit of of pleasure protecting my love - edison Beaumont. Thank you.
