Default Iroshizuku Kon-Peki is the same shade as...

Private Reserve Tropical Blue. It also has the same shading properties. I am not sure on the water fastness but I know PR Tropical Blue is not very water fast. This is not color corrected but just comparing to themselves, they are the exact same shade of blue. Paper is Moleskine Pocket Graph.

I do think the bottle is cool looking but I come from the school of "What does it do? How well does it do it?" The cost vs the practicality aspect just kills the Iroshizuku bottle argument for me. I care about the ink. With that said, I might just get one bottle of Kon-Peki and when it runs dry, refill it with PR Tropical blue. :insertevilsmileyhere:

+1, especially since my local sources sell PR at barely more than a third of the cost of Iro.

D'oh! I am just finding out that this post was mentioned on the Podcast, last week. I usually can't watch live and this is the first chance I have had to watch it. I guess I better get on some further testing. Thanks to Dan and Eric for the mention.

And here is a scan of the same page but I inked the Kaigelu with PR Tropical Blue. It was important to me to get everything on the same page so it is a little cramped.
