That's quite a lovely towel - - a work of art, even! If I were you I'd stretch it and frame it.
It really looks like a painting, nice!
My ink towel is really a "ink-towel-tent" or something, I don't know if there's a word for it. My son made it in school when they started writing with a fountain pen. He switched to pencils (his loss) and I'm using it now. It's got multiple inks in it, and I already exchanged the fabric once (took an old shirt)...

I appreciate the comments and anyone willing to play along.
Love that ink tent!
I promise faithfully to contribute a photo tomorrow.

Cool looking stuff. I've only ever used paper towels but I've got some old tshirts out in the garage I should cut into rags...

Wait!
How to make this Ink Tent?!!
I want one!
Here I've been so primitive, like a neanderthal crouching in my cave with my paper towels and my stained nibs!
Really, this rocks.
I use an old shirt

Diaper, LOL! But now I think I want to use one for an ink towel.
T-Shirt, how cool! It serves a double purpose!
Old dish cloth, I love that one, even the bear on it, seriously, it's too cute.

Mine is a black micro fiber cloth. You can't really see much.

I'll try to describe it, I'd say it's quite straight forward - if I manage to describe it good enough
You need:
- 1 outer fabric (colored, to your liking), you can decorate it, for example stitch on it (that's what my son did)
- 1 inner layer (it's a thin, somewhat plasticised piece of cloth, to iron-on) to stop the ink from bleeding through to the outer layer and and to give the whole thing a bit of stability (I doub't it's really necessary, depending on the outer fabric)
- some (around 10) ten pieces of wiping-cloth (old shirt/whatever is fine)
- 1 cord
- 2 beads (with hole)/buttons
- Cut all the fabric into same-sized circles, I'd say mine are around 15cm in diameter
- Cut a little slice out of the two outer layer fabrics
- Sew the outer layers on the edge of the cut, so it becomes a small tent - leave a small hole for the cord at the top (or cut it out)
- Cut a small hole for the cord into the cleaning fabrics
- Put the cord through the hole in the tent and the hole in the cleaning fabrics.
- Secure with button/bead
I have attached a image which should make it a bit more clear. If you have questions, don't hesitate to ask..

flaviocu, thank you, I'm going to try and make one of those.
AndyT, such vibrant colors, love it!
I think a nicely ink-stained T-shirt would make great wearable art for Pen Posse meetings!
The ink tent that member flaviocu showed earlier in this post piqued my interest.
I recent bought a pen pouch from member salve7 (he has some items in the flea market section).
I asked him to try his hand at a tent.
See below. I love it, just want to get some feedback in how to make this better if possible.
My question to you all, is what type of material would you prefer inside as the wiping towels? T-shirt material, ideas?

I forgot I had this picture of the cloth I use.
Decided to take apart the nib and feed. Good thing too, that feed needs some cleaning. #Pelikan M30 #fountainpen #repair by IvanRomero, on Flickr
