    Default A Massive, General-Purpose Welcome to New Members!

    Hey, all you new members!

    I know I can't respond to each and every "New member" post, so I'm just offering a blanket welcome to any newcomers to the Fountain Pen Geeks forums. Smaller than the largest pen fora, larger than some, you'll find a comfortable community of pen-centric people here, with a growing body of posts, reviews, and group knowledge. Mostly, you'll find people who are enthusiastic about fountain pens, and fountain pen people.

    One important thing:

    It isn't unprecedented for there to be an influx of new members when FPN has issues, but it is always unfortunate when they stop posting again. Consider making this an addition to your online pen dialogue instead of just a temporary home! The hosts have always been gracious in accommodating a large swell of people and it would be great if more stuck around. There is a loose, convivial atmosphere that bodes well for the future.

    For now, a hearty welcome to all of you new arrivals!

    Rest assured, I have this board front marked, now. Even when FPN returns, now that I've found FPG, I will be around. My posting has dropped considerably in the past year or so, but it may rise again as life's circumstances change. It's nice to have alternatives, and FPG is a fine one.

    As a rule, I do my best to welcome all newcomers. I found it to be so friendly when I was a newcomer myself! Still a newbie, I don't know much, but I can contribute to the general friendly atmosphere...

    You'd be surprised, I find this forum WAY friendlier than FPN was, and because of the lower traffic it is easier find what matters to me!
